I guess it depends. Do you want to do something or buy something? If you want to do something, you could do a heartfelt letter, or maybe if you're crafty draw a picture/scrapbook/knit/etc. You could also make a puzzle or something fun and game-like that he'll have to spend some time on to put it together (A photo puzzle or something that says I love you). If you want to buy something, a minivacay would be great if he can be guaranteed the leave for it.You could also make one of those "coupon" books for him that has little things you'll do for him when he uses the coupon (could be G rated or not, your choice ;) ).

my dh did something amazing for me. I wanted to do something to show him my appreciation. any ideas? btw to give you a hint of the monumentous gift he gave me, one could have bought a car with the money he spent. :o
