Oh wow... thats a really neat idea. My girls did Girl Scouts for years and that would be awesome for them to make and keep with them at all times.

Where can I find directions on how to make them? I would want to be able to print off the directions and give to the Service Unit Manager for the troops here.

Alas, I perused the Etsy site and there are several vendors who already sell survival bracelets. I think I will just make them for fun. If you want one - let me know.

Oh neat. that could be really neat. I'll have to check it out! Thanks - I may take you up on the 'word of mouth' if I do it.

It's an online site where you can start your own handmade/vintage store (think ebay except it's not an auction, it's set price).

That is really cute! Love the idea by the way. Maybe you should think of opening up an store and saleing them. If you do decide to start making them to sale, let me know and I'll pass your store around.

My daughter and I saw survival bracelets at Ranger Joe's and thought they were kind neat - as well as utilitarian, so we thought we would give it a try. I used multi-purpose cord for camping, but the cobra knot is the same no matter what one uses. I will go get some paracord next week. This bracelet has a total of 12 feet of continuous cord! If you need to use it - unravel what you need! It's so awesome. I think everyone should have one or even a key fob or something in their car - for emergencies! Very easy to make by the way!
