I LOVED THIS BOOK... grad work was put off... work work was put off (hehe--as much as I could)... I read it in 3 days it was so great! I was completely turned off by the back... I didn't want to read about the circus, but it came highly recommended by a colleague. The imagery was great and I loved the thoughts of the main character in the nursing home.

I read this one a few weeks ago and just couldn't put it down. Gruen's attention to detail, the story line and the characters were amazing. The story takes place during the Depression and centers on a veterinary student that is part of the circus. It is now one of my must reads. I don’t want to give to much more away about it, but if you have the time to check it out, it will be well worth it.
